Parent to Parent of New York State builds a supportive network of families to reduce isolation and empower those who care for people with developmental disabilities or special healthcare needs to navigate and influence service systems and make informed decisions.
The Director of Programs will provide strategic leadership as a member of the organization’s management team, leading Parent to Parent of NYS’s program development and implementation. Self Determination/CSS in New York has created a means of developing the potential for individualized, self-directed services. It offers the opportunity to design services based on an individual’s desires and needs as identified in a Person Centered Plan. It is a mechanism developed by NYS OPWDD (Office for People with Developmental Disabilities).
