Education & Accessing Disability Services).  For resources and helping each other gain the “How To” of getting what’s needed.  Parent driven and facilitated.  Come share resources, experiences, knowledge and contacts.  Meetings held the 3rd Wednesday of Every month from 6:00-8:00 pm.   Please note the new location—Economic Opportunity Program, Inc. NEW Support Group--Families & Friends of Those with Autism Spectrum Disorder meeting April 23, 2007 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and will feature Trish Bressler, Autism Psychologist for Corning-Painted Post School District with an update on this school's progress. Support Parents Sought
        We are always looking for new Support Parents in our area!  If you are the parent of a child with a disability or special medical condition, please consider volunteering a bit of your time to offer support to another parent.  It doesn’t require much time and can make a difference in someone else’s life.  For more information please contact Parent to Parent of NYS at (607) 535-2802 or p2pnys_southern_tier@verizon.net .  Thanks for considering sharing your life experience by supporting a fellow parent. 

Finger Lakes Parent Network, Inc.—Any child or youth with an emotional, behavioral and/or mental disorder and his/her family residing in any of the nine counties is eligible for services.  Those counties are Wayne, Ontario, Seneca, Yates, Schuyler, Steuben, Chemung, Tioga and Allegany. It is not necessary for the child to have been diagnosed or identified by either the school district or a medical professional. All services are provided free of charge.  For more information call the Bath office at (607) 776-2164.

Parents Only, a support group for parents of children and teens with mental health and/or developmental issues, meets from 6:30-8:00 p.m. on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month at St. John's Catholic Church, Orlean, beginning January 25, 2006.         Does your child with a developmental disability receive Medicaid Service Coordination (MSC) through their enrollment in Medicaid?  Or, if not, are you interested in learning more about the program and if your child qualifies to participate? If so then this video conference is for you!
        To register, go to http://www.omr.state.ny.us/. From the left menu, select "Information for Providers." Scroll down the page and choose "Online Registration Form." If you do not have access to the Internet, you may request a registration form at 518-473-1190.
